The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has Successfully Registered as an IPC
The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has been successfully registered as an Institution of Public Character (IPC).
Following this successful registration of SCWO as an IPC, we intend to deregister the IPC status of ‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ as IPCs.
This is in line with SCWO’s plans to continue to create synergy and for better financial planning by reducing the costs of operations and compliance.
‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ are not separate legal entities of SCWO. Instead, these funds are integral parts of SCWO. The assets and liabilities relating to these respective funds are accounted for under SCWO and will continue to be done so. SCWO will continue with the current programmes and initiatives of Star Shelter and Service Fund under SCWO’s name.
