Immediate Past President, SCWO
Junie Foo successfully pivoted from being the only Singaporean female helming corporate banking in Asia Oceania in a Japanese financial institution to overseeing a large charitable organisation serving close to 10,000 beneficiaries as CEO. She has dedicated more than 20 years in helping women from all walks of life through her volunteer work at the Financial Women’s Association, International Women’s Forum and SCWO.
Co- founder and former Chairperson of BoardAgender, she is currently Immediate Past President of SCWO and continues to plod on to change mindsets on women. She is particularly concerned with the financial adequacy of women who have spent much time caring for their spouses or children and do not have enough in their old age. She feels that targeted steps must be taken to enable women to remain in or re-join the workforce with better job opportunities that offer career advancement of older women.
Junie is Singapore’s Representative for Women’s Rights on the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC).

Apart from providing economic, emotional and psychological support to this growing demographic, how can we also tap on seniors as an invaluable resource that can enrich and expand our development as a society?
