SCWO Holds Third Session of Conversations on Women’s Development
The third and final session of the SCWO-led Conversations on Women’s Development were held on the 16th of January 2021. In attendance were both Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Ms Sun Xueling as well as Minister for Law and Minister for Home Affairs Mr K Shanmugam.
This session focused on the issues at Home and in the Workplace and opened with a video address from Minister Shanmugam. This particular session saw the involvement of more men as compared to the previous two at 39% male participation, something we were glad to see.
Fruitful discussions were held by the different groups covering both the issues within the areas as well as possible solutions that can be implemented to improve them. The session was then closed off by Minister of State Ms Sun Xueling and her thoughts on these issues.
