Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media and Communications Intern to join our team. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and communications strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses strong writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Schedule and publish posts, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Track and analyse social media metrics to assess the performance of campaigns and suggest improvements.
Content Creation:
- Create engaging and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
- Brainstorm and develop content ideas.
- Assist in writing and editing website article posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
Communications Support:
- Support the development and execution of communication plans and campaigns.
- Help draft press releases, media pitches, and other public relations materials.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to inform communications strategies.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with the organisation and maintenance of digital asset libraries.
- Help manage the email marketing platform.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the communications and engagement team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Strong eye for design.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

TITLE: Social Service Intern (Full time)

SHECARES@SCWO (SCS)
SHECARES@SCWO is an initiative by SG Her Empowerment Limited (“SHE”) & SCWO (Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations).
SHECARES@SCWO renders assistance to persons experiencing gender based online harms. Our services are open to all residing in Singapore regardless of immigration status.
We provide call helpline, text-based helpline and face-to-face counselling services for victims of gender-based online harms. We also collaborate with Pro Bono SG to provide clients with pro bono legal assistance. Victims may also require guidance on filing reports with the police and/or social media platforms.
SCS provides information on resources for online harm and referrals for other services to our community partners. We host public education and training sessions for community partners about online harms, and how to tackle this growing issue.
We are now looking for a full-time Intern
SHECARES@SCWO is hiring a full-time Intern to provide assistance and support to victims of gender-based online harm and to be involved in SCS’ day-to-day operations and programme management. The Intern will also have the opportunity to be part of advocacy projects to make positive changes to society!
The Intern will provide vital administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of SCS. The Intern will work closely and support SCS counsellors in rendering assistance to clients.
The Job:
- Providing quality and timely response to individuals seeking support from SCS through calls, WhatsApp, emails, walk-ins, referrals, and other platforms.
- Coordinating with Pro Bono SG for clients to register to either have same day legal consultations (for urgent cases) or for fortnightly legal clinics (for non-urgent cases).
- Organising and ensuring smooth running of fortnightly legal clinics.
- Organising and co-ordinating SCS events such as SCS Talks/Workshops
- Performing administrative and operational duties to ensure smooth running of SCS.
- Offering support to clients by liaising with, providing information and making referrals to other relevant agencies.
- Supporting the development of SCS’s services through coordination of processes and ensuring knowledge consistency.
- Maintaining and preparing accurate recording of data and monthly reports to stakeholders.
- Support a group of helpline volunteers
- Other duties that may be assigned as programme develops.

- Final year students or fresh graduates in undergraduate/diploma courses such as social work or a relevant field may apply

SHE is a non-profit organisation established to serve as an independent advocacy agency for women’s development in Singapore. The Star Shelter is a direct service of SCWO and has been running for more than 20 years. It is a crisis shelter for women and children who are survivors of family violence.
Committed to providing more than just accommodation, Star Shelter focuses on addressing the holistic needs of its residents, including emotional support through therapy and educational programs. Over the years, Star Shelter has empowered over 2,000 women and children to rebuild their lives after experiencing trauma.
We are now looking for a full-time Intern
Position Overview
Star Shelter is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Services Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the essential work of supporting survivors of family violence, gaining practical experience in social services, and making a tangible difference in the lives of the residents.
The Intern will work closely and support the Star Shelter team in administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of Star Shelter.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and facilitation of programmes and activities designed to empower survivors and promote healing.
- Coordinate with volunteers to support volunteer-led aspects of Star Shelter’s activities.
- Support the collaboration with corporate partners to coordinate donation drives and programmes.
- Assists with the coordination of incoming donations and collection of donations, including monetary and in-kind donation.
- Aid in administrative duties such as data entry, assisting with documentation, and preparing monthly reports to stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including house supervisors, counsellors, and volunteers, to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Other duties that may be assigned as programme develops.

The Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame was launched by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations in 2014 to recognise and honour the outstanding women of Singapore in all fields of endeavour. We are looking for an intern who can help us with our work.
You will get up close and personal with the lives of the amazing women, both contemporary and historical, who broke through the limits they faced and paved the way for others. And you will help us with Project Awesome – where we share the stories of these women and inspire young girls (and boys) to dare to dream, to aim high, and to chart their own paths.
As an Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Events support

- Creation of content for the SWHF’s social media pages (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
- Creation of content for, and maintenance of, the SWHF and Project Awesome websites
- Administrative support
- Drafting, fact-checking and proofreading documents
- Consolidation and analysis of data
- Assisting with project management
