The Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame (SWHF) was launched by SCWO in 2014 to recognise and honour the outstanding women of Singapore in all fields of endeavour. We now have 192 awesome women in the Hall of Fame.
Project Awesome is the school outreach arm of SWHF. It was launched in 2021 to step up our efforts to get the inspiring stories of the women in the Hall of Fame to schoolchildren. This is done by offering schools lesson plans, workshops, and exhibitions and talks built around the stories of the women in the Hall of Fame.
The primary objective of Project Awesome is to inspire and empower every child in Singapore, with a special focus on girls, to dream big, aim high, chart their own path, and live their lives to their fullest potential.
The dream for Project Awesome is to grow it to be a social enterprise hence we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business Development Assistant Manager/Manager to join our team.
This person should have an entrepreneurial outlook, utilise their business development acumen to fine-tune the business plan, identify partnership opportunities, and maximise the project’s impact. This role requires a strong passion for education, gender equality, and the empowerment of young individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Partnership Building
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, corporates, community groups, and other stakeholders to support & grow Project Awesome.
- Represent the organisation in external meetings, networking events, and relevant forums to promote Project Awesome.
- Programme Expansion & Strategic Growth
- Design and implement strategies to scale Project Awesome and increase its impact across Singapore.
- Analyse trends, gather feedback, and propose innovative ideas to enhance its effectiveness and relevance.
- Collaboration with Operations Team
- Work closely with the programme staff responsible for day-to-day operations to ensure alignment between strategic goals and programme delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure smooth coordination and execution of activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to showcase Project Awesome’s outcomes and progress.
- Administrative & Compliance Duties
- Familiar with budgeting and resource allocation for business development activities.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and guidelines.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or fundraising, preferably in the non-profit or education sector.

The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) established in 1908 as the national coordinating body of women’s organisations in Singapore has more than 60 member organisations, representing over 600,000 women. By unifying the efforts and voices of member organisations, SCWO works towards the ideals of ‘Equal Space, Equal Voice and Equal Worth’ for women in Singapore.
As an IPC, SCWO advances our mission and vision through strategic partnerships and fund raising. We actively collaborate with public, private and community partners to enhance the impact of our efforts.
We are looking for a Head, Programmes & Partnerships to join us. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes including the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame, BoardAgender and the Summit for Action on Gender Equality. This role will also lead the partnerships and fundraising efforts to support SCWO’s key programmes and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Operations
- Plan, organize and execute programmes and activities relevant and beneficial for the various age groups and profiles
- Take the lead in coordinating, supporting, executing and providing the oversight to SCWO’s planned events and initiatives
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
- Put in place the governance and operational working practices of the programme team
- Communicate and work with potential stakeholders such as organisations, vendors and volunteers, to bring in appropriate programmes that meet the needs of our members and community stakeholders
- Conduct periodic needs and outcome assessment to evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of key programme
- Manage resources for each programme in terms of manpower and funding
- Partnerships and Fundraising
- Develop and implement strategic plans for partnerships and fundraising aligned with the organisation’s goals
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with corporate and community partners to secure funding
- Integrate organisation wide programmes and services to design fundraising campaigns across various channels like corporate giving, events, individual donors and online platforms
- Track fundraising performance, analysing data and trends to optimise strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
- A minimum of 6 years work experience developing and running quality programmes, partnerships, or fundraising
- Keen interest in working with women’s groups and community partners, including corporate partners, towards women’s empowerment and development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative and resourceful
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate program operations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
