Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday, 1 March 2025, at Boon Lay Community Club for a meaningful day of empowerment, connection, and action for women’s equality.  

 

 

Get creative with Project Awesome’s craft workshop, where you’ll design your own female superhero inspired by the Awesome Women of Singapore book. Engage in a thought-provoking talk and learn more about key issues surrounding violence against women and take part in interactive activities like henna art and quizzes. Come together with the community to honour outstanding women, spark important conversations, and drive real change.

 

 

Event Highlights:

 

• Keynote Speech by SCWO’s Deputy CEO, Lorraine Lim, on the critical issue of violence against women and learn how we can all play a role in creating a safer and more equitable society

 

• Create Your Own Female Superhero with Project Awesome! Inspired by the Awesome Women of Singapore book, this interactive activity allows participants to explore the strengths and values of inspiring women and design their own superhero characters.

 

• Visit Our Booth to learn more about our services like the Star Shelter and Maintenance Support Central and discover the support available for women in need.
