    The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations Announces the Launch of A.C.T. Against Violence – A Catch-All Help Site Against All Forms of Violence Against Women

    To help increase awareness on the important issue of violence against women, the national coordinating body of women’s organisations, Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), will be launching A.C.T. Against Violence. This website aims to be a one-stop information and help site regarding ALL FORMS of violence again Women of all Ages. The A.C.T. Against Violence website will be launched at SCWO’s annual In Her Stride event on 30 November 2020 in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.     SCWO Holds the First Session of Conversation on Singapore Women’s Development

    SCWO held our first engagement session for the Conversation on Singapore Women’s Development today. This is the first in a series of engagement sessions aimed at identifying and tackling issues concerning women in Singapore. Joined by women leaders from our diverse member organisations, we discussed key issues affecting women in homes, workplaces, schools and the community. We would also like to thank MOS Sun Xueling, Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Ministry of Education, for joining us. We look forward to future sessions and continued discussions.     MP Yeo Wan Ling Visits SCWO

    MP Yeo Wan Ling, Director of NTUC Women and Family Unit (WAF) and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (U SME) visited SCWO to gain a better understanding about SCWO and its programme and services. The Board Members and MP Yeo Wan Ling had an enriching discussion and exchange of ideas on women’s issues in Singapore such as violence against women, supporting the transition of careers and progression of working women and the gender pay gap.
