    New2U Year-End Clearance

    With the ongoing COVID-19 situation, New2U was unable to hold our much-anticipated Bi-annual Bazaar in 2020. In place of it, a week-long Year End Clearance was held from 5-11 December 2020 instead. The shop’s ever-popular designer room was opened, and we received a healthy-sized crowd through the week. As a result of the unexpectedly high demand, the clearance was extended for an additional week until the shop closed for the year on the 18 December 2020, something that wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of our volunteers.     19th ACWO Biennial General Assembly

    On 20th November 2020, SCWO held the virtual 19th ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations (ACWO) Biennial General Assembly. This was the first ever virtual Biennial General Assembly in the history of ACWO. At the Handing Over Ceremony, 19th ACWO President, Dr June Goh, officially passed the ACWO Presidency from SCWO to the 20th ACWO President, Datin Hajah Siti Hajar binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, President of the Council of Women Development of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD).     The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations Launches A.C.T. Against Violence

    A.C.T. Against Violence has been launched! The catch-all website on all forms of violence against women was launched today at the SCWO’s annual In Her Stride event with Minister of State in the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Ministry of Education, Ms Sun Xueling kicking off the event with a few words.
