    SCWO Appoints Angel Chan as CEO

    Singapore, Monday 17 May 2021 – Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) has appointed Angel Chan Sian Yian as the chief executive officer with effect from 17 May 2021. Prior to joining SCWO, Ms Chan headed the Office for Women’s Development (OWD) at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, a national focal point on gender policy matters and for international cooperation pertaining to women. Through OWD, Ms Chan spearheaded engagements between the government, women’s organisations, and the community to implement developmental initiatives and programmes for women in Singapore.     BoardAgender Launches Inaugural Mentoring Programme for Aspiring Women Directors 2021

    BoardAgender’s inaugural Mentoring Programme for Aspiring Women Directors 2021 introduces aspiring and “next-generation” female directors (“Mentees”) based in Singapore to experienced Directors (“Mentors”) who will assist Mentees in meeting their specific directorship-related goals.   The Programme will consist of one-on-one mentoring with an experienced Director, as well as formal Mentee development sessions. Mentees will arrange times to meet/speak with their Mentors monthly from July to December.   The formal Mentee development session includes a series of events and sessions covering peer-to-peer sharing and sharing by senior board members and professional organisations.     Throughout the Programme period, Mentees will have access to an experienced Director who will provide guidance and…
