    SCWO Appoints Lorraine Lim as Deputy CEO, Designate

    The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations is proud to announce the promotion of Lorraine Lim from Head, Direct Services to Deputy CEO, Designate. Lorraine has been with SCWO for 10 years, since 2011.  Prior to her being a permanent employee, she had been a Volunteer Counsellor for Star Shelter.  Of course, when the Star Shelter Counsellor left, she was very quickly offered the position of Star Shelter Administrator and Counsellor in September 2011.  Lorraine was promoted to Manager-Star Shelter in 2015.  When asked to take on the added responsibility of managing MSC as well, she did it willingly.     The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has Successfully Registered as an IPC

    The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has been successfully registered as an Institution of Public Character (IPC). Following this successful registration of SCWO as an IPC, we intend to deregister the IPC status of ‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ as IPCs. This is in line with SCWO’s plans to continue to create synergy and for better financial planning by reducing the costs of operations and compliance. ‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ are not separate legal entities of SCWO.
