Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations appoints new CEO
3 January 2023 /Singapore, 3 Jan 2023 – The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) has appointed Ms Koh Yan Ping as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 3 Jan 2023. Ms Koh takes over from Ms Angel Chan, who is relocating overseas with her family. Prior to joining SCWO, Ms Koh was the Deputy Director of the Women and Family unit (WAF) at the National Trades Union Congress, the labour movement’s initiative to support working women in Singapore through advocacy and programmes. 7 July 2022 /The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) held its 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 25 June 2022, at SCWO Centre. It was heartwarming to see the happy smiling faces of our members, who gathered physically for the AGM for the first time since 2019. Ms. Junie Foo delivered the President’s Address, highlighting SCWO’s activities and initiatives for 2021, including our active role in the year-long “Conversations on Singapore Women’s Development”. SCWO Holds 41st AGM
1 July 2021 /SCWO held its second ever virtual Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 26 June 2021. In attendance were 38 representatives from 24 of our member organisations. The meeting was kickstarted by our Honorary Secretary, Joanna Portilla, who welcomed everyone to the meeting and ensured that there was quorum. Once quorum was ascertained, the time was handed over to our SCWO President, Junie Foo, who then delivered the President’s Address, which highlighted all of SCWO’s activities for the past year.
