2023 Tripartite Alliance Award
SCWO is a strong believer in fair employment practices and flexible work arrangements. As such, we have partnered with and supported events and initiatives organised by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP). We are pleased to share that the Tripartite Alliance Award is open for applications for the 2023 Tripartite Alliance Award (TAA), which recognises exemplary organisations that have effectively implemented fair, responsible and progressive employment practices. SCWO Proposes to Name Public Spaces After Singapore Women to Honour Their Contributions in its Report Following the Conversations on Singapore Women’s Development
The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) has released their Report following their Conversations on Singapore Women’s Development sessions. Here’s a snapshot summary of the report: SCWO believes that with collaboration between the government and the people, Singapore can work towards making the ideals of ‘Equal Space, Equal Voice, and Equal Worth’ for Singapore women a reality. The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has Successfully Registered as an IPC
The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations has been successfully registered as an Institution of Public Character (IPC). Following this successful registration of SCWO as an IPC, we intend to deregister the IPC status of ‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ as IPCs. This is in line with SCWO’s plans to continue to create synergy and for better financial planning by reducing the costs of operations and compliance. ‘SCWO – Star Shelter’ and ‘SCWO – Service Fund’ are not separate legal entities of SCWO.
