Take Precaution
A – Awareness C – Connect T – Take Precautions
Always take precautions to keep yourself and your children safe. Have your phone with you at all times to call for help when needed. If it is no longer safe to remain at home, seek refuge by staying with relatives, friends or a crisis shelter for victims of violence.
Crisis shelters for victims of Domestic Violence
If you are victim, or of if you know someone who is a victim, you should either:
- Make a report at the nearest neighbourhood police centre
- Make a report at the nearest hospital if there is physical injury
Approach the nearest Family Service Centre, who will appoint a case worker to assess the situation before making a referral to the shelter.
